One Week Down, 22 to Go…

Done with the first week of classes, and so far, so good! My new guitar still isn’t here (thanks a lot, UPS!), but other than that, I’m settling in pretty well. So I’m going to have to deal with the automated ignore-bots known as web submission pages. It used to be nicer when a person actually had to look at your resume before throwing it in the trash. Heading Back to School

Well, I’m finishing my last day of work for the break, and soon I will be heading back to <SARCASM>beautiful, scenic, Oklahoma</SARCASM>. I was doing some temp work for the Defense Finance Accounting Service, the same outfit I worked for last summer. I’m going to miss my co-workers, but I certainly won’t miss sitting in a cubicle for 8 hours a day typing inanely away at a Windows NT machine. It could have been worse, I suppose - I could have gotten stuck filing all day. Ugh! I sure hope I can land a job with some excitement to it when I graduate in May - some travel would be nice.

I get to go see the Colorado Avalanche play tonight. I’m really excited! I’ve never been to an NHL game before, and the Avs are at the top of their division right now. I’ll also get to see the Pepsi Center (or the Can, as it’s coming to be known) for the first time. It should be interesting.
